Course description
How can you reduce discipline problems that repeatedly cause disruptions? In this video-based course, you will find the missing piece discovered through research in early childhood classrooms with children 3 to 8 years: that the connections we make and relationships we build with children are prime motivators of positive, cooperative behavior. Watch and learn strategies that build and nurture relationships even with children whose behaviors are most difficult--and get results that make a real difference on a daily basis.
Video demonstrations are a key component of this course. These video segments were captured documentary style in a variety of classrooms and care settings. A sample video clip highlights how children may respond when they don't feel connected to or heard by their teachers. Other video scenes show examples of the strategeis presented in the coursework, so that you can see how they are implemented by highly skilled teachers and how children react and respond.
